PLOT
Marketing worker Fumihiko Matsumaru is ready to discard his tickets after being turned down for a movie date when he is stopped by a girl who begs him to let her go with him instead. Fumihiko has a good time because to his cheerful and odd friend, the aspiring voice actress Aka Onda. They discover they reside in the same neighborhood as they make their way home together. Fumihiko wakes up from a nightmare a few hours later to the sound of sirens outside his window. He checks the situation from outside and discovers that Aka's flat and all of her belongings have burned to the ground. The distraught Aka accepts Fumihiko's invitation to stay with him, where they eventually fall asleep together. Their personal and professional lives become inexorably entwined in the wake of that fatal night. Despite their one-night stand, they not only start living together platonically but also learn that Aka will be providing the voice for the mascot that Fumihiko created for the newest offering from his business. The two start to assist one other through the challenges in their different occupations even though they are trying to hide their live-in relationship from prying eyes.
