"Agatha Christie no Meitantei Poirot to Marple" (Agatha Christie's Great Detectives Poirot and Marple) is a Japanese anime adaptation of several works by Agatha Christie. The series aired from 2004 to 2005. This series uniquely features both of Christie's famous detectives, Hercule Poirot and Miss Jane Marple, in the same show. The story follows a young girl named Mabel West, the daughter of mystery writer Raymond West, a character who appears in the Miss Marple books. Mabel aspires to become a detective under the tutelage of her uncle's friend Hercule Poirot. Later on, she also encounters and assists the sharp-witted elderly detective Miss Marple. The anime series cleverly weaves these characters together while adapting some of the most popular mystery stories written by Christie. Each episode typically focuses on a particular mystery, with Poirot or Marple (or both) stepping in to unravel the truth.
