PLOT
Harold and Chester are sent to Chateau Bow-Wow when the Monroe family decides to take a vacation, where they meet the other guests at the kennel, including a poodle named Louise and two Dachshunds named Heather and Howard. The other employees, Jill and Harrison, are overworked while Dr. Greenbriar, the kennel's owner, takes the week off. Before disappearing himself, Chester gets persuaded that there was foul play involved when Louise goes missing. When he comes back, he takes the other animals to where Harrison is attempting to seize Heather and Howard. Later, Harold learns from Chester that Harrison learned that one of the animals in the shelter was extremely valuable. In the belief that it might have been one of them, he first abducted Louise and then Chester. It is now known that the unusual wire-haired Dachshunds were responsible. The runt of the Dachshund litter, whom they call Howie, is adopted by the Monroe family after they return from their vacation.
