PLOT
Cards are now dispersed around a vibrant galaxy in the new, whimsical Battle Spirits era, luring all "card questers" to compete for the strongest cards. Rei is a colorful nomad who is fixated with success. The self-described "Number One Star" frequently engages in card-gaming mayhem through spectacular battles, accompanied by a little dragon named Mugen and a talking robot named Salt. One day, Rei runs with Rikuto April and Raira, both of whom appear to know something about the location of the "ultimate" Battle Spirits card. Together, they set off on a mission to look for the card, squabbling with a variety of colorful characters along the way. They quickly come to the attention of the Guild, cunning bad guys who are equally determined to get their hands on the Ultimate Battle Spirits. Rei's position as the best player is challenged as she battles the Guild, a struggle that will gradually reveal information about the future of the universe.
