PLOT
Both in baseball and gambling, Toua Tokuchi is a genius. He gained notoriety by winning 499 games in a row in the game of "One Outs," which pits a pitcher against a hitter one-on-one. He only threw average fastballs. Tokuchi, despite his extraordinary talent, only sees the sport as a means of earning some quick cash. Hiromichi Kojima, a renowned batter for the Saikyou Saitama Lycaons, is informed of Tokuchi's abilities and believes that he may be the catalyst for the team's turnaround. Kojima risks his own career to beat Tokuchi in his own game—One Outs—in an effort to attract him despite all odds. After being made a Lycaon, Tokuchi quickly finds himself at odds with Tsuneo Saikawa, the team's owner. After Saikawa declines to pay him a fair wage, Tokuchi suggests a unique arrangement in which he would receive five million yen for each out while losing fifty million if he allowed a run to score. Will Tokuchi be able to outsmart those who stand in his way when every game has the ability to either make or break him?
