PLOT
The year is 2045, and advances in artificial intelligence have been significant. In an endless fight to maintain their economy, governments utilize them as weapons. Major Motoko Kusanagi is the leader of the mercenary organization GHOST, which is no stranger to this setting. However, because to the technology's quick innovation, a fresh danger is now looming. After leaving Public Security Section 9, Kusanagi and her group are now actively engaged in several activities pertaining to these proxy wars all across the world. However, GHOST is forced into a covert struggle with people who have been cybernetically modified and have mysteriously acquired extreme intelligence and physical abilities by the seemingly straightforward task of finding an arms dealer. Their appearance, dubbed "post-humans," triggers a series of events that result in Section 9 coming back together. It is up to Kusanagi and her restored crew to stop these post-humans from causing world catastrophe armed with a new goal.
