PLOT
Takumi Harada, who is only 12 years old, is already recognized as a brilliant baseball pitcher. Takumi, however, is forced to join the amateur baseball club at his new school after his family relocates to the sleepy hamlet of Nitta. The child is unaffected by this development since he thinks it will be more exciting if his participation makes this unknown club a superpower. Takumi, however, needs a catcher who can keep up with his pitches due to his exceptional talent. His concerns are quickly allayed after he meets Gou Nagakura. Gou is eager to demonstrate to his admirers and classmates that he is more than just a braggart and that he is a player with the skills necessary to catch Takumi's throws. Takumi struggles to uncover the actual joy of the game with the help of his grandfather as he tries to establish a "battery" with Gou while also clashing with his new teammates over his irreverent demeanor.
