PLOT
Witches and wizards appear to be purely fantastical constructs in the human world. Mirai Asahina, ever the daring teen, sets out to debunk this idea by tracing the path of a strange shooting star that had fallen the previous night. Sure enough, Mirai soon meets Liko—a clumsy witch apprentice from the Magic World, a vibrant region populated by magicians—by happenstance. The appearance of odd villains pushes Mirai and Liko to work together, as if by fate. They do this by using their strength as the "Maho Girls Precure," a pair of legendary magicians. The unusual team sets out on an adventure filled with mystical spells and potent jewels after receiving an astonishing gift of power. The hidden wonders that link the two girls' separate worlds together are revealed along the route.
