PLOT
Her classmates have always thought of Haruka Kotoura as being ominous and monstrous. This is a result of her talent for mind reading, which is also what drove her parents away and left her with her grandfather. She has consequently become absolutely icy and unsociable to others as a result of being accustomed to the cruel treatment by those around her. However, when Haruka goes to a new school, everything begins to change. She encounters Yoshihisa Manabe, who is as usual repulsed by her, but finds her strength amazing. Yoshihisa then goes on to make friends with Haruka, pledging to stick by her no matter what. Thus, Haruka's new experiences of social belonging begin. Along the way, she makes new friends and develops her self-awareness.
