PLOT
Elves, dwarves, vampires, and other supernatural beings live side by side with humans in peace in Tokyo. Contrary to history, however, strong dragons that once dominated over this globe of creatures and people have vanished. As a result, a sinister group going by the name "Nine," who desire the marvels of the formerly godlike dragons, causes chaos in the streets of Tokyo, killing many people and wreaking havoc. The police form the Special 7—a team of highly skilled specialists whose skills go beyond those of regular people—to take on the dangerous group of Nine. Seiji Nanatsuki, a newly minted detective, gets involved in a bank robbery that turns into a hostage situation when he accidentally runs across Shiori Ichinose, a Special 7 member. Seiji assists in resolving the robbery and is immediately given a position in the elite team due to his strong sense of justice and upbeat personality. Seiji discovers that working as a detective with Special 7 isn't the type of law enforcement he anticipated, since working with a team of diverse species with unique skills and vivid personalities adds unpredictability to his daily life and work. Seiji and the Unique 7 will battle to not only solve special cases but also thwart the evil intentions of the ruthless group of Nine as regular crime in Tokyo continues.
