PLOT
With the exception of a study center called "Dreams of Alice" that was established to comprehend the principles underlying these people, the presence of humans with supernatural abilities is kept a closely guarded secret from the broader world. Sana, an orphan girl who is a study subject at the institution and goes by the nickname "Red Queen" because of her tremendous power despite her youth and naïve demeanor, serves as the protagonist of the novel. She stumbles into the city of Shinjuku after barely escaping the research center, where she encounters an elderly man named Zouroku Kashimura, who graciously takes her in after listening to her experience. As they spend more time together and become closer, whether it is through risky scenarios like trying to escape the research center or regular struggles like Sana getting to know the outside world better, he eventually adopts her as his granddaughter.
