PLOT
Satoru Fujinuma discovers himself brought back before the catastrophe occurs just as tragedy is about to strike. The estranged 29-year-old manga artist has utilized the potent yet enigmatic phenomenon he refers to as "Revival" to rescue numerous lives. But when he is falsely charged with killing someone dear to him, Satoru is transported back in time once more, this time to 1988, which is 18 years earlier. He soon comes to the conclusion that the murder may be related to the kidnapping and death of Kayo Hinazuki, a lone and strange classmate, that occurred when he was a young boy. He has the opportunity to put things right now. Boku dake ga Inai Machi follows Satoru on his quest to learn the truth about what happened 18 years ago and save those he loves in the present while averting the death of his classmate.
