"Another World" is a series of Japanese short, science fiction, original net animation (ONA) episodes. It's a part of the anthology project "Worlds End" and premiered in September 2019. The story follows Kyouichi, a university student who has been an enthusiast for modifying vehicles since he was young. One day, while testing his off-road vehicle in the mountains with his friends, they become lost in a heavy thunderstorm. After a series of strange events, Kyouichi and his friends find themselves in a different world where Japan is in ruins and overrun with robots. They now must navigate this post-apocalyptic world and figure out a way to return to their own world. "Another World" explores themes of survival, friendship, and the lengths to which people will go when they are thrust into desperate situations. The series stands out for its apocalyptic setting and its focus on the consequences of technology run amok.
