PLOT
The year G.C. (Galaxy Century) 0051, which corresponds to Neo Tokyo, is the 50th year since initial contact. With the help of aliens, humans have developed super light-speed navigational technology and established a planet-wide commonwealth. Robby Yarge, a 30-year-old self-described freelance journalist, is now experiencing a string of terrible luck. His contract is terminated since he performs poorly at work. His girlfriend breaks up with him, he almost perishes in a car accident, and debt collectors start to pursue him. One day, a bag thief assists a young man steal Robby's bag. An 18-year-old part-time employee named Hatchi Kita apprehends the offender and gives Robby's backpack back. Robby reciprocates by giving him a supper and his thanks. The two quickly separate ways after realizing they are total opposites. Hatchi, however, reemerges in Robby's life as a debt collector. Hatchi explains that he works as a loan shark for Yan on the side. Yan's Finance President Yan leads his subordinates Aro and Gra on a cat-and-mouse pursuit as it starts. Robby defeats Yan's team while evading Hatchi and making his way into space. Isekandar is a mythical planet in the Milky Way that is thought to provide happiness to anyone who visit there, and Robby fantasizes about fleeing there. Hatchi is in Robby's spaceship, despite the fact that Robby assumed he had left Earth alone to travel to space. In order to find Isekandar, the two resolve to journey across the galaxy together.
