PLOT
The beginning date of this anime is unknown, however it takes place 50 years after World War III. Where Tokyo once stood, the conflict has left a crater that is now covered with toxic rubble. This area, referred to as "The Black Spot," is one of many Black Spots spread over Japan and is visible from space as a dark spherical patch with the exception of the Simeon building. Outcasts ultimately begin to fill the Black Spot, some of whom acquire different abilities known as "fragments" as a result of the contamination. People who have such bits become known as "Needless."
