PLOT
Narumi Fujishima is a high school student who doesn't participate in school activities to the extent that he doesn't know the names of most of his classmates. He is required to work with Ayaka Shinozaki on his school's "Gardening Committee" due to certain circumstances. He is also convinced to sign up for NEET, an amateur detective organization made up of lazy jobless people who take on and resolve cases on their own. A juvenile, antisocial extreme shut-in named "Alice" heads the NEET agency. Her room is filled with stuffed animals and computer monitors, and she never leaves it. But Alice has proven to be a crafty hacker and a remarkable investigator. Through the course of the series, Narumi and the other NEET members use Alice's brilliant brain and their meager resources to solve crimes, including murders.
