PLOT
Mira Kinohata met Ao Manaka, a stargazing dreamer, in a crucial childhood encounter. Even though their time together was brief, Ao was able to introduce Mira to the wonders of astronomy, from distant stars to planets in orbit. Before they split up, Mira discovered that while Ao's name does not have a star in it, hers does. She so made a fabricated vow: she would one day find a brand-new asteroid and give it the name Ao. Mira is still enthralled by astronomy years later. She seeks to join the Astronomy Club at Hoshizaki Academy, where she is now a senior. She regrettably learns that the group has combined with the Geology Club to form the Earth Sciences Club. She joins this new group and discovers a welcome surprise—she gets to see Ao again after a long time apart. Mira and Ao set off on their joint journey to keep their commitment with their new clubmates. How difficult could it be to locate an asteroid?
