PLOT
In "AD20XX," Hand Shakers takes place in Osaka. Tazuna Takatsuki, a high school student with a talent for mechanics, accepts a specific repair request and travels to a university research center throughout the course of the narrative. He meets Koyori Akutagawa, a lonely young woman dozing off on a bed, there. Tazuna brushes her fingertips as if being guided by someone, and a voice comes inside him from an unidentified source. As a brand-new world, Ziggurat, unfolds before him, Tazuna is left perplexed. Now, as Hand Shakers, the pair must struggle to gain God's favor so they can ask for something in return. The numerous Hand Shakers must engage in combat to overthrow God using "Nimrods," abilities that are born from one's psyche after shaking hands.
