PLOT
Humans and Beastmen, a species possessing a genetic "Beast Factor" that allows them to change shape, have been at conflict for much of recorded history. Beastmen have been forced to go into hiding as a result of this struggle. Anima City provides a secure place for these persecuted people to live their lives free of human intrusion. A human who unexpectedly transformed into a tanuki named Michiru Kagemori discovers that Anima City is a far cry from paradise while attending a festival honoring the town's tenth anniversary. Shirou Ogami, a supposedly invincible wolf and sworn guardian of all Beastmen, confronts her when she witnesses an explosion in the square. The two learn that Michiru is not your typical Beastman as they hunt down the bombing's perpetrators and begin to delve into her mysterious past and extraordinary skills. Could she be the missing link between the Humans and the Beastmen?
