PLOT
The last thing Subaru Natsuki anticipates when he exits the convenience store is to be uprooted from his normal life and thrust into a fantastical realm. The confused teen's situation is not looking good, but not long after he arrives, some thugs attack him. He is rapidly pummeled to a pulp while carrying only a bag of groceries and a cell phone that is no longer functional. Fortunately, Subaru is saved by a mysterious woman named Satella who is hot on the trail of the person who took her insignia. Subaru volunteers to assist in her quest as a way of saying "thank you" to the sincere and generous girl, and later that evening he even discovers the whereabouts of the object she is looking for. However, they are unaware that a much darker force is pursuing them from the shadows; as a result, Subaru and Satella are brutally murdered shortly after finding the insignia. The mystery intensifies as history mysteriously repeats itself as Subaru is ambushed by the same bunch of thugs and Satella right away upon awakening.
