PLOT
The family's eldest son, Haru Kaidou, comes to Canada after learning that his mother was close to passing away. As soon as he gets there, he finds out that not only did his mother deceive him, but that he also has to care for his adopted brother Ren Kaidou, an antisocial youngster who prefers dogs over people. Haru initially finds it difficult to approach Ren because of his new brother's suspicions, but their friendship soon develops. He promises Ren that after Haru completes high school, the two of them will reside in Japan. Sadly, a mishap causes Haru to forget all they did together that summer, including the commitment he made. Ren travels to Tokyo five years later expecting Haru to uphold his word, but Haru views Ren as just another boy who happens to be claiming to be his sibling.
