PLOT
Shoutarou Tatewaki realizes his life would never be the same when he first sees Sakurako Kujou. He initially suspects her of being behind a disappearance in the area, but subsequently discovers her true skill is studying bone samples. To the dismay of everyone around her, Sakurako has a sizable collection of artificially created animal bones, but she wishes she had more human ones. Shoutarou soon starts traveling with the eccentric osteologist on the numerous unsolved cases that she encounters, frequently in the form of decaying bodies. But could there be a bigger mystery at play in their life given all the incidents that were happening around them? A tale of two unusual friends, Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru explores the idea that while bones can reveal how one died, only living things can reveal how they lived.
