MegaMan: Wishing upon a Star

A Japanese child named Yuuta Kobayashi plays the video game Mega Man 5 in the early 1990s, but he never remembers to switch off his console before going to bed. Mega Man successfully leaves the "video game world" and travels to Japan in the "actual world" with his adversaries and friends. Dr. Wily makes an immediate attempt to rule the actual world, and Mega Man joins forces with the Kobayashi family to track him down. Dr. Wily is located in an amusement park in Tokyo by Yuuta's father, who is searching with Mega Man. Samurai Man, a massive robot that Dr. Wily controls, is filled with robots. By Charge Kicking a football at it, Mega Man can take it down, but Dr. Wily manages to flee. Eddie is called forth by Yuuta in order to restore Mega Man's energy. Rush searches for Dr. Wily by flying around Japan alongside Mega Man and Yuuta. In the meantime, students gain knowledge about Japanese traditions and culture, like Hinamatsuri, Setsubun, and Children's Day. They eventually learn that Dr. Wily created Lava Man at a base he built inside Mount Fuji using the volcanic energy. Akane, the sister of Yuuta, calls Beat and Proto Man to assist Mega Man. Mega Man breaks into Wily's lab to defeat all eight of Wily's Robot Masters while Proto Man and Beat deal with the lava robots. Wily escapes on a rocket, but Proto Man reroutes his rocket so that it enters Yuuta's video game instead. The video game characters return to the game world after celebrating Wily's defeat.
