PLOT
Himeji Wakaba, an elementary school girl in her fifth year, has the capacity to perceive things that others are unable to. Most of them are frightful malevolent spirits that have a history of harming those close to her. Wakaba is consequently lonely and hardly smiles. She occasionally brings stray animals home, but her parents forbid her from keeping them. But one day they decide that whatever Wakaba comes home next, they'll let her keep since they're worried about their depressed, unsettling daughter. The following item she brings home is a pink monster by the name of "Pupipo," but her parents stick to their guns and let her keep it. Pupipo, the nature of which is unknown, shields Wakaba from the other things she sees. Additionally, Pupipo assists Wakaba with bullying issues and becoming friends with a transfer student who is fascinated with the occult. With her pink pet monster, Wakaba's life is much better!
