"Musaigen no Phantom World" or "Myriad Colors Phantom World" is a fantasy, supernatural anime series adapted from the novel of the same name by Souichirou Hatano. The anime aired in 2016 and was produced by Kyoto Animation. In the world of "Musaigen no Phantom World," a virus has caused people to perceive extra-dimensional beings known as Phantoms. These Phantoms come in all shapes and sizes, some harmless and others dangerous. Following an incident in the past, certain humans have gained the ability to fight Phantoms or seal them away. The story follows Haruhiko Ichijo and his friends in the Hosea Academy, a school dedicated to helping those with special abilities control their powers and use them to fight off Phantoms. Haruhiko possesses the ability to seal phantoms by drawing them in a sketchbook, and his team includes Mai Kawakami, who fights phantoms with her spirit energy, and Reina Izumi, who can swallow phantoms to nullify them.
