PLOT
A game called "Kiwame Quest" appeared on the scene with potential unlike any other 10 years ago, at the height of the VRMMO development business. This game sought the highest level of realism, from humanlike NPCs to the exact recreation of all senses and physical skills, boasting a staggering total of 10 sexdecillion branches of potential story possibilities. However, it soon became clear that the game was too realistic, and interest in VRMMOs as a whole gradually started to decline. Hiroshi Yuuki, a high school student, currently immerses himself in full-dive RPGs as a kind of escape due to an accident that occurred a few years ago. Hiroshi stumbles into a game store after failing to find the most recent version of his favorite game. There, he meets the shop's attractive clerk, Reona Kisaragi, who persuades him to buy a copy of Kiwame Quest so that they can play it together. Hiroshi is astounded by the realism the game gives when he plays it for the first time. His surprise, however, is short-lived as he causes a string of unfortunate events, which makes him rapidly realize that the game is worse than his already hectic existence. Despite his developing disdain for the game, Hiroshi nevertheless finds himself logging on once more. Hiroshi's current precarious predicament leaves him with no second chances, therefore his only option is to win the game!
