PLOT
Wataru Hoshino discovered a sleeping girl in his room one morning who was only wearing her underpants. She swiftly made her way out of the room when she awoke by jumping out the window, but not before hitting Wataru in the face. This girl, Rinna Sawaki, ends up enrolling at Wataru's school as a transfer student and moving in with Wataru as a roommate. Wataru currently resides with four other girls and their schoolteacher, but in a year, the families affiliated with Temizugawa Heavy Industry—South Sakojima Island's largest employer—will have to leave their homes due to the company's decision to close its aviation section. The four girls must leave the island in a year as a result of this. Knowing this, Rinna refuses to make friends with Wataru and the other females out of fear of the grief she may feel if they were to end up apart. Wataru disagrees with her, though, and attempts to persuade her throughout the course of the year.
