PLOT
Prestigious high school Seiso Academy divides students into two majors: General Studies, which is distinguished by distinguishing grey uniforms, and Music Studies, which is distinguished by immaculate white uniforms. Kahoko Hino, a student in general studies, meets Lili, a tiny fairy looking for someone with the ability to see her, by coincidence as she rushes to class one morning. Lili takes off on a bird, and Kahoko, who is perplexed by their encounter, keeps walking. At least until Kahoko's name is read out, all of the contestants in a school-wide music competition are, predictably, Music Studies students. The announcement of the contestants takes place later that day. The little fairy finds Lili right away and gives her a magical violin before persuading Kahoko to enter the contest. Primo Passo follows Kahoko's journey with Lili as the young student now has to contend with the pressures of competitiveness and face off against her rivals while navigating a new world of classical music.
