PLOT
Yoshimura Sumimura comes from a long line of "Kekkaishi," people with magical skills who can occasionally annihilate wicked beings called Ayakashi that enter the human realm. The Ayakashi are demonic creatures that seek to savor the strength coming from Karasumori, which also happens to be the location of Yoshimura High School. Yoshimura must now fight to defend his community and the school he loves. However, if it were up to him, he would prefer to be making cakes than chasing away the unsightly people who appear at night. Fortunately, Yoshimura isn't the only one working to fend off the bad guys. Tokine Yukimura, a neighbor and friend from their youth, joins him in this just conflict. These two work well together despite being from different clans. As the Ayakashi attack in waves, seeking to conquer the land as their own, and a shady organization watches on, preparing to strike when the time is right, cooperation is essential in the fight against the evil that is encroaching.
