PLOT

In 1838, the story opens in a little Pennsylvanian town. The lovely and upbeat Jeanie MacDowell has light brown hair. Jeanie adores playing the piano and looks forward to her mother's piano lessons. Jeanie has several close friends, including Bill, a black child who plays the banjo expertly, and Steven, a talented harmonica musician. They take pleasure in jamming out as a little band. Jeanie's pleasant existence, however, drastically alters after her mother passes away unexpectedly. After going through a lot and realizing how important life is, she makes the decision to dedicate her life to assisting those who are ill. The bond between young Stephen Foster, who goes on to become a well-known composer and songwriter of children's songs, and young Jeanie MacDowell, Stephen Foster's future bride, is the subject of this intensely sentimental love story.
