Nobody's Boy Remi

Remi and his mother reside in Chavanon, a French village, since the story is set in the 19th century. His father Jerome Barberin is a Paris-based worker. When he gets hurt, he chooses to go back to his village even though he has changed and become much more cold-hearted. Remi learns that he was actually abandoned as a child. A wandering artist named Vitalis and his animal troupe purchase Remi from Barberin. Remi accepts his situation despite having lost his father's love and his comfortable surroundings. He steps outside and encounters the hardships of the life of a traveling artist. Along the journey, he encounters Mrs. Milligan, a beautiful and wealthy woman, and her ailing son Arthur, who turns out to be his real mother and younger brother. Even though Remi didn't know the truth, he chose to leave with Vitalis even though life with them is wonderful. Tragedies follow one another, leaving Remi alone with just Capi the devoted dog. He alternates between traveling with his raucous best friend Mattia and staying with a farming family where he develops a bond with the youngest silent girl Lise. Remi, who makes a job playing the harp, looks for a place in life where he can fit in and feel at home. This is up until he learns that his true parents might still be alive and decides to risk his life by traveling to London, an English city, to find them. Remi and Mattia moved in with a man named Driscoll and his family, but after some time there, Remi and Mattia came to the conclusion that the family is a gang that engages in illegal activity for gain. Later, the authorities detain Driscoll and his relatives on suspicion of stealing. Regrettably, Remi is believed to be one of them. Remi is saved by Mattia, Bob (a member of the circus company), Max, and Peter. Remi and Mattia then return to France in search of Remi's real family. The Milligan family adopted Mattia, who later became Remi's adoptive brother, and Lise at last managed to speak. Arthur also learned how to walk. Since Remi was born, Richard has been known to be his real name. Then, ten years later, Mattia started playing the violin and Remi got a law degree and married Lise.
