PLOT
A tranquil and routine day for Yamato Hino, a teenage sports fan from Japan, brings on odd calls from an unknown dimension. The young boy, who is terrified and confused, believes that he is having hallucinations when, during a thunderstorm, a lightning bolt transports him to an alternate reality in which King Muraji of the ancient kingdom of Mu must defend his country's capital from monsters under the command of the evil Dorado of the Empire of Dinosaurs The king of Mu wishes to awaken the gigantic statue of the god Mazinger because a legend claims that a titanic being called Yamato is the only one who can awaken the powerful giant, one who will protect the people of the realm of Mu from any harm. The child enters Mu's dimension, and the statue unexpectedly comes to life as a result of the king and princess's fervent pleas. A bright beam surrounds the youngster as he is absorbed into the statue's body and starts to move. When the kingdom's fortifications were breached by the monsters of Dorado, God Mazinger vanquished the dinosaur army and forced the invaders to escape. Thus, the story actually happens.
