Ace Ventura: Pet Detective

Ace Ventura is an unconventional private investigator with a base in Miami who specializes in locating domesticated or confined animals. He has trouble making ends meet and is frequently made fun of by the Miami Police Department, which is run by Lieutenant Lois Einhorn. At Joe Robbie Stadium, Snowflake, the bottlenose dolphin mascot of the Miami Dolphins, is taken two weeks before the Super Bowl. The team's head publicist, Melissa Robinson, commissions Ventura to locate Snowflake. Ventura discovers a rare triangle-cut orange amber stone in the filter while searching Snowflake's tank for hints. Due of Ronald Camp's reputation for acquiring exotic animals from questionable sources, Ace believes that he may have stolen Snowflake. Ventura and Melissa enter Camp's party covertly, where Ventura almost gets devoured after mistaking a shark for Snowflake. Camp apologizes and extends his hand to Ventura while displaying a ring with an amber stone embedded in it that is identical to the one Ventura discovered on one of his own fingers. Ventura eliminates Camp since his ring had the amber stone and Ventura recognized the stone as being a part of an AFC Championship ring from 1984. Ventura then surmises that a member of the 1984 Miami Dolphins starting lineup may have abducted Snowflake and makes an effort to identify the offender by their rings. But he finds that the rings on every member of the team are still in place.
