PLOT
A new island appeared in 1990, roughly 2000 kilometers to the southeast of Samoa. Because of its close vicinity to Austral Island, it was given the moniker New Austral Island. However, a group known as GAIL hid its existence because of a secret involving the new landmass. It was no longer visible on the map, but it was still very much afloat. Dr. Tagami, a university professor who was preoccupied with the island, was murdered as part of the cover-up. He sent his son Yuu Tagami instructions in his will to meet with Dr. Wave, a former pupil, in New York. He, Dr. Wave, Doris (Dr. Wave's sister), and their dog Argos are assaulted by GAIL not long after he arrives. With the aid of Skipper, a former companion of Dr. Wave who Doris characterizes as "a nasty guy," they manage to escape. They manage to get to Austral Island with Skipper's assistance, but not without incident. Gorg, a robot that appears to be sentient and is regarded as the island's protector by the residents, appears and saves Yuu there. The narrative continues as Yuu, Gorg, and their companions battle the GAIL's armies while attempting to learn the secrets of New Austral Island.
