PLOT
The Makai Realm of Darkness has been overrun by creatures known as "Horrors," who entered the planet through its gates. These vile, demonic entities are capable of capturing human bodies and consuming their souls. A spiritual force shield built by the sorcerer group Onmyouji protects residents of the capital city, who are unlikely to see the sun rise again if they stay outside past dusk. The Golden Knight Raikou declares that he will defend everyone from the Horrors while wearing legendary armor. He wants to become a formidable Makai Knight, aided by his attendant Kintoki and the enigmatic Makai Alchemist Seimei, but Raikou is unprepared to withstand the affects of the armor. He embarks on a self-discovery quest after becoming dissatisfied with his own faults in an effort to overcome them and establish his worth.
