PLOT
Kamome Academy is well-known for its Seven Wonders and paranormal activity rumors. The Seventh and most well-known Wonder, "Hanako-san of the Toilet," is the ghost of a young woman who purportedly haunts the bathroom and can fulfill wishes in exchange for money, according to Nene Yashiro, a first-year high school student who loves the occult and wishes for a lover. When Nene summons her, she learns that "Hanako-san" is a boy and not the woman who has been rumored to exist. In a twist of fate, she becomes Hanako's helper after becoming spiritually bonded to him. She works with him to eliminate supernatural threats and dispel rumors in order to keep the spirit and human worlds in harmony. Nene discovers along the road Hanako's background and the sinister secrets surrounding him, as well as her connection to the spirit realm.
