PLOT
Midori Asakusa has a unique perspective on the world. Asakusa constantly has her nose buried in a sketchbook, creating intricate landscapes and backgrounds of both the real world and the world of her limitless imagination. Even scribbling on a wall turns into a critical emergency repair for her spaceship's outer hull. Sayaka Kanamori, her best friend, is the only person who can bring her to reality. The two are polar opposites, with Kanamori's methodical outlook on life in contrast to Asakusa's innocent awe. Asakusa and Tsubame Misuzaki connect right away after an accidental encounter in which the two "rescue" the young model from her overbearing bodyguard; both have a deep interest for art and animation. Asakusa is more concerned in landscapes and environments, while Misuzaki is passionate in depicting the human form. Kanamori advises that they form an animation club, which they pass off as a film club since the school already has an anime club since he sees it as a potential source of income. The trio's quest to create animation that will astound the world officially starts at this point.
