PLOT
Miyu Kouzuki is an eighth-grader whose parents relocated to the US so they could work for NASA. They make arrangements for her to stay with Hsho Saionji, a monk who lives in an old temple on a hill above the village of Heiomachi and is a longtime family acquaintance. Soon after, Hsh departs for an extended trip in India, leaving Miyu to live in the same home as his son Kanata. Unexpectedly, a UFO arrives in the temple's courtyard. A humanoid alien infant named Ruu and his feline-like guardian Wanny are both present. They entered an interstellar wormhole while traveling from their home planet, Otto, to Earth. Since their home planet is too far away from Earth for them to get there, Wanny asks Kanata and Miyu if they can stay in their home, and they accept. People from Planet Otto have human-like appearances, and Wanny may change into many objects, animals, and people.
