PLOT
Ginji Amano and Ban Mido, a pair of superhuman beings known as the "GetBackers," are the subjects of the television series. The two work together to run a freelance repossession agency out of one of Tokyo's seedier districts, Shinjuku. With "an almost 100% success record," they will recover any lost or stolen item for a client for a price. To "obtain back what shouldn't be gone," the GetBackers frequently find themselves in strange and hazardous situations. They hunt for everything from misplaced atomic bomb parts to misplaced video games. The majority of the story centres around their escapades, which are frequently hampered by the two characters' intricate personal histories and a mystery location called the Infinity Fortress.
