PLOT
The slice-of-life battle story takes place in a future without a third world war or alien invasion—just a regular future following the time period in which we currently live. In this world, robots are an integral part of daily life and play a variety of roles in society. Shinki are charming, 15-centimeter (about 6-inch) tall buddies designed to help people. They dedicate themselves to serving their "Masters," and they are endowed with brains and emotions. These Shinki can even be outfitted with armor and weapons for combat. They are known as "Busou Shinki" (literally, "armed divine princesses"). The Shinki Ann (Arnval), Aines (Altines), and Lene (Altlene) in particular look after Masato, a high school student. When the belligerent Strarf, a new Shinki, joins them, everything changes.
