PLOT
Due to his great sense of justice, Hotaru Tachibana is compelled to face people who choose to commit wrongdoing. In addition, Hotaru like to pose as a boy while being a girl in reality. Hotaru is out to avenge her closest friend after hearing accusations that the well-liked club host had duped her. Masamune Matsuoka, the club's host, challenges her to a "survival game" as soon as she enters, in which the first person to be struck by a toy gun's bullet loses. Masamune compels the young "kid" to join his survival game team, Toy Gun Gun, in order to make up for the harm "he" caused inside the club following a damaging altercation in which Hotaru loses. Hotaru is initially upset at this turn of events, but she soon starts to like what survival games have to offer and becomes determined to pay off her debt, much to Tooru Yukimura's chagrin, the second Toy Gun Gun member. As time passes, Hotaru grows close to the other members of the team and wants to help them achieve their goal of winning the Top Combat Gaming (TCG), a competition to determine the top survival game team in Japan. Despite Hotaru's best efforts, there are only two minor issues: she is utterly useless at the game, and Toy Gun Gun doesn't let women play on their squad!
