PLOT
Guts, who has been given a death mark and is now doomed to be pursued by demons till the day he dies, sets out on a quest to escape this horrifying fate as waves of animals chase him relentlessly. He resolves to seek down the perpetrator, the same man he once looked up to and considered a friend, and does so by picking up the terrifying sword Dragonslayer. He meets some unexpected allies along the road, including a little elf named Puck and Isidro, a young thief hoping to pick the former mercenary's brain about swordplay. The motley crew will confront enormous danger unlike anything they have ever encountered as they eventually come together after deciding to accompany Guts on his quest.
