PLOT
Sawako Machida, or "Miss Bernard," as she prefers to be addressed, is usually spotted reading in the school library. The question of whether or not she has read it, however, is entirely different. According to Sawako, reading is too much labor, so she would rather just give the impression that she reads a lot to others. However, there are other students who love books and are very disturbed with her disrespectful approach to reading their favorite books in the same library where she frequently congregates. Sawako discovers she is learning something after all as she pretends to read and discuss great literature with quirky book lovers. She also makes new acquaintances along the way.
