PLOT
Kouta Hasegawa is a typical high school student who enjoys his Pompompurin plush animal, which his grandmother gave him when he was a child and is based on a Golden Retriever. He was embarrassed by his affection for Pompompurin, nevertheless, after a situation in which other youngsters accused him of being girly for enjoying Sanrio characters. Yuu Mizuno, a flashy boy who is popular with girls, Shunsuke Yoshino, a player on the soccer team, Ryou Nishimiya, an underclassman who works as a library assistant, and Seiichirou Minamoto, the head of the student council, are among the people Kouta ends up meeting at school who also enjoy Sanrio characters. Through his new pals, Kouta discovers that it's okay to like Sanrio characters, and the two of them work together to produce a play for the cultural festival in an effort to make his ordinary school life more exciting.
