PLOT
Each of the episodes centers on a group of females who have contracted the enigmatic A Virus. These women are split into two groups: Extars, who when sexually excited can morph into weapons, and Liberators, who can utilise an Extar's weapon form, known as Liberator Arms, through a procedure called Drive. These females are taken to separate islands where they live in complete isolation from the outside world until the islands' Observers, who are approved by the government Organization AAA, purportedly determine that they are ready to reintegrate into society. Mermaid centers on Mamori Tokonome, an Extar who partners with Mirei Shikishima, a Liberator. Bhikkhuni centers on Rinka and Ranka Kagurazaka, two sisters who contract the V Virus, a variant of the A Virus.
