PLOT
The earth was once saved by an extraterrestrial giant of light known as Ultraman, but he later disappeared. Shin Hayata, the human host of Ultraman, lost all memory of his previous life as a hero. Shinjirou, Hayata's little kid, is discovered to have had a stronger and more resilient body from birth than any other person. The SSSP, the group that helped Ultraman, informs Hayata of his past. Then, his father dons a power suit once more and reprises his job as Ultraman. Shinjirou is attacked by an extraterrestrial named Bemular one night, but his father, who was wounded in the conflict, manages to save him. Shinjirou must take up the torch since Hayata is out of commission and menacing aliens are prowling the city. However, as the new Ultraman for the SSSP, Shinjirou is forced to consider how far he is ready to go to aid others.
