PLOT
Two interstellar states have fought for dominance of the Milky Way for more than 150 years. The Galactic Empire, a totalitarian monarchy headed by Kaiser Friedrich IV and a powerful aristocracy, aims to crush any rebels who might challenge the untouchable throne. The representative democracy known as the Free Planets Alliance, which is governed by a dishonest High Council, degenerates as a result of the elected officials' exploitation of violence and conflict to win over the public. But the arrival of two competing military geniuses puts an end to this protracted standoff between the Empire and the Alliance. Reinhard von Lohengramm, a lowly noble who rose to become High Admiral of the Empire due to his tactical prowess and his sister's status as the Kaiser's preferred concubine, harbors ambitions to rule the galaxy with an iron fist and unite all of humanity. The Hero of El Facil, Yang Wen-li of the Alliance, a hesitant commodore who loves history, utilizes his tactical prowess to get around his inept masters and pave the way for enduring peace. Reinhard and Yang fight for their principles and to establish themselves as the leaders of a new generation of cosmic heroes while the conflict rages on.
