PLOT
After being ejected from JPX48 due to a heated exchange with a male admirer, Ai Narata swears she will never interact with a man again. Ai uses her talents and her strong desire to avoid men to try out for the all-female Kouka School of Musical and Theatrical Arts. The institution's top actresses go on to perform in the renowned all-female Kouka Theatre Troupe. Due to her background in the idol business, Ai is the perfect choice for the school's 100th generation class, but her detached demeanor alienates her from her peers. Only the eccentric Sarasa Watanabe wants to be Ai's friend. She joins Kouka with the goal of becoming a top "otokoyaku" performer—an actress who plays parts that are often done by men. After seeing The Rose of Versailles at a Kouka performance when she was younger, Sarasa had a goal of playing Lady Oscar in a future production of the play. Ai, who reluctantly accepts her offer to be her roommate and companion in many of their classes, finds it challenging to get along with Sarasa due of her inability to read a room.
