PLOT
Kei Takishima has always come in second to Hikari Hanazono. Their pro wrestling-loving fathers introduced them to one another when they were six years old. Young Hikari, certain that she was the best wrestler, challenged Kei to a match, but was soundly crushed by him. Hikari has vowed to defeat Kei in all competitions and sporting events ever since that tragic occurred. She has attended Kei's elementary school since the beginning in order to do this. She currently pays her carpenter father a large sum of money to send her to Hakusenkan, an extremely exclusive school for the wealthy. The top two students in the school are Hikari and Kei, with Kei consistently placing first. They belong to an unique group of children known as Special A, or S.A., because of their ranking. Hikari sees Kei as her adversary, but she has no idea that Kei has affections for her. The narrative covers the friendships, relationships, and rivalries among the other S.A. members, including Jun, Megumi, Tadashi, Akira, and Ryuu, while Hikari and Kei grow closer to one another.
