PLOT
quietly confident Mei Tachibana did not have any boyfriends or pals during her time in high school. Because of a childhood episode in which her pals turned out to be toxic and shallow, she developed a fear of disappointment and became overly careful around others. She meets Yamato Kurosawa, a popular kid who shows interest in her, and it is through their nascent friendship and developing romance that Mei eventually starts to reach out and make friends with other people.
